Hope-Filled Faith

Definition of Faith: Confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. (Source – The Holy Bible, Hebrews 11:1)

Faith is about looking beyond our own limitations. Faith is about looking past our brokenness and into wholeness. Faith is about seeing things the way God sees them. God has been faithful to our church family for many generations and because of that, we look forward with eyes of faith as we step into the future that God has prepared for us.

In faith, let us, as a congregation, look ahead with excitement and anticipation of how the Father is going to use us, His children, to lead Mt. Carmel into the future. God has been faithful to us time and time again as we seek after Him. In recent years, God has given us multiple opportunities to reach out to our neighbors in Aliquippa ... Kingdom Week, Communicycle, and several multi-church music and prayer events. God has given us opportunities to go deeper in prayer ... small group Bible studies, Surrender, the College of Prayer. Our current Faithful to the Generations renovation project is an opportunity for us to be good stewards of the beautiful building and land we have been given. It is a chance to create space for us to intentionally be in fellowship. It is a way for us to show our faithfulness not only to future generations, but to the Lord. We trust Him.

We will continue to worship in spirit and in truth, we will continue to serve each other and those around us, and we will anchor our souls in the hope that our Father will continue His sovereign provision for us. We will continue to accept challenges and opportunities to glorify Him and, most importantly, we will continue to seek Him ... in all ways, always.
